The TEC at Belize Zoo and Hillbank will be promoted as destinations for ecotourists in savanna areas (green) that are accessible (1-1.5 hrs) by road from the main tourist entry points at the International Airport and Belize City's Cruiseship Terminal.
With new trails and visitor attractions, both sites will become attractive overnight stops, enhancing the existing popular tourist route from Crooked Tree Bird Sanctuary - Lamanai Archaeological Site - Baboon Sanctuary - Belize Zoo.
